The Mega Millions game just got even luckier! In April 2025, it will undergo some new changes.
Game Price Changes to $5 per line - The price per line across all tickets is increasing from $2.00 to $5.00*.
New Prize Amounts - With the price change, the prizes are now bigger and better! For example, if you just match the Mega Ball, the prize will start at $10!
Removal of Mega Ball #25 - When filling out your playslip, you select a Mega Ball (the 6th number) from a second pool of 25 numbers. Following the change, this pool will only contain numbers 1-24, which increases your odds of matching the Mega Ball!
Built-in Multiplier - The Multiplier will be automatically included in all orders instead of being an optional add-on. The Multiplier increases any non-jackpot winnings by the Multiplier number (a random number included in every draw). The new highest multiplier will now be 10x, compared to the previous 5x!
Larger Starting Jackpot - The default jackpot will be $50 million, an increase from the previous $20 million.
